Zeta Potential of Macroscopic Solid Surface: SurPASS Electrokinetic Analyzer
The principle for the zeta potential determination using the SurPASS is based on the streaming potential and the streaming current method.
With different measuring cells for sample mounting, the SurPASS can be used to determine surface potential of solids of almost any shape and size such as fibres, foils, membrane sheets, textiles, powders or granules.
It is possible to investigate the dependence of the zeta potential on the pH fully automatically, thus the isoelectric point of sample surface can then be measured. In addition, we may investigate the influence of solute concentration and additives like surfactants or polyelectrolytes on the zeta potential.
Fields that the SurPASS is applicable include:
• Chemical Industry
• Cosmetics, Personal Care
• Electronics
• Environmental
• Materials Science
• Minerals, Mining, Raw Materials
• Paper, Textiles
• Pharmacy, Medicine/Biotechnology
