X-ray Scattering “SAXS/WAXS”: Hecus S3-Micro

The new SAXS/WAXS instrumentation offers a remarkable new capability to study crystalline and amorphous materials as components and formulations at nano and mesoscales.

• Sample Holder for Pastes and Powders
• Temperature control system -20 o C to 300oC
• Quartz Capillary Sample Cuvette for S/WAXS with flow-through attachment
• Quartz capillary (i.d. 1 or 2 mm) in stainless steel holder for the use with the temperature control sample stage for automatic external filling or continuous flow experiments.
• SpinCap System: For studies on samples with preferred orientation or on sedimenting suspensions. Thermo-controlled rotating capillary, in vacuum, variable rotation speed (1-100 rpm), for use with 2mm capillaries.
• Sample Stage for 2D- GISAXS: rotatable sample holder for grazing-incidence SAXS for chip sizes of 1 x 1 x 0.2 cm3 with angular resolution better than 10-3° over a range of 4°. Precision beamstop device for elimination of specular reflection peak.
